Hi, I’m looking to invest in a cheap SLR camera, just to get started in gig photography.
Ideally, I’m looking for advice on what kind of things I need to photograph bands performing under stage lighting. I’d appreciate any help!

Current thoughts are Sigma 18-50 f2.8 EX DC or Tamron 28-75 f2.8 XR Di but would like some advice from anyone that has used these lenses or similar. Most photography will be outdoors.
