I am an amateur photographer and was wondering if this lens would be in low light (say a night sports event). Thanks!

Why 29 to 320mm it is a lens for a smaller sensor right so you shouln’d have any crop??

a couple of things i wish canon to do for the ef-s 18-200mm is:
- for god’s sake ring USM so i won’t ruin the gears inside
- a focus window
- better build
i wish canon could be like nikon’s 18-200mm (which ken rockwell literally throws at you to buy).

eos 500d….no doubt

Wow, the price for this lens is about $580.00 USD. I find this a bit expensive for an amateur.

which one better?
nikon d5000 or canon eos 500d?
