I don't think you will find a site that does exactly what you are asking, but here are a couple of choices. http://www.fredmiranda.com This site does reviews on lenses.

Another thing that you can do, and this is what I do when I am toying with the idea of a new lens, go to http://www.pbase.com

Click on "search" at the top.
Don't enter anything into the next field, but click on the word "camera".
Click on the camera manufacture name, (Canon).
Scroll down the list until you get to the lenses and click on the lens you are considering.

You will see thousands of images taken with that lens. Some good and some bad. I look for the best images I can find. Because I want to see what the lens can do in the hands of someone that knows how to use it, as I want to see what it is truly capable of.

Most likely, the lenses for the F65 are AF-D lenses and will not auto-focus on a D5000. The D5000 needs AF-S or AF-I lenses to auto-focus.

Those lens compatible with Nikon d5000 but D5000 will auto focus with only AF-S and AF-I lens, if your lens are not AF-S and AF-I you can use it with manual focus.

Some people don't care for Ken Rockwell, but this page is pretty helpful in your question http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/compatibility-lens.htm You can see that your dad's F65 will auto-focus with AF and AF-D lenses, while the D5000 will not. That will be the primary difference between the 2 cameras. I have attempted to use older manual focus lenses with my DSLRs and it really is an enormous pain. They don't have the focusing screens that the old film cameras did, so it's very difficult to tell when you are fully in focus.

Yes.
Only Nikon pre-AI lenses are not compatible. He may find that the lenses may not meter correctly (they may - depends on the lens) and will almost certainly not autofocus (but that's ok, he can focus manually).

Yes ...If though the new camera is "DX" then the focal length of the lenses will change slightly.

Minolta, like the morons at Canon, change there lens mount when they went to auto focus, so Minolta older manual lens won't fit on newer cameras.
